Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Colorado by Joe Jones was worth USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,956.89) to a buyer in November 2019. This price was achieved in the auction American Art Online at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joe Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cornfield, which sold at auction in May 2012 for USD 110,500.00 (€ 89,372.37).
