In April 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Collecting The Harvest by Joe Jones. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,559.15) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joe Jones achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cornfield in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 110,500.00 (€ 89,372.37).

Im April 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Collecting The Harvest von Joe Jones zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.559,15) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joe Jones erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cornfield im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.500,00 (€ 89.372,37).
