The work 'Poet Under Water' by JoAnn Verburg was sold in the CONTEMPORARY LIVING – Photographs, Prints & Design auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2015. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,468.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, 'Poet Under Water' is the most expensive artwork by JoAnn Verburg that we have observed at auctions so far.
