Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by JoAnn Verburg could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work 'Poet Under Water' changed hands for USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,969.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by JoAnn Verburg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Poet Under Water', which sold at auction in July 2015 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,468.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von JoAnn Verburg konnte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit 'Poet Under Water' für USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.969,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von JoAnn Verburg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Poet Under Water' beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.468,26) versteigert wurde.
