Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Masking Tape Horizon by Joan Snyder. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,290.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Snyder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Stripper in November this year with an auction result of USD 478,800.00 (€ 438,943.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Masking Tape Horizon von Joan Snyder zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.290,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Snyder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Stripper im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 478.800,00 (€ 438.943,89).
