Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures by Joan Miró was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper and Day Sale Morning including The Analytical Eye: The Branco Weiss Collection auction at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 156,985.59) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Miró achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peinture (Étoile Bleue) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 23,561,250.00 (€ 29,174,436.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures von Joan Miró wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper and Day Sale Morning including The Analytical Eye: The Branco Weiss Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
