Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Suffix (Herbaceous Perennial) - 7 by Jitish Kallat was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in June 2014. It changed hands for a price of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 59,348.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jitish Kallat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Eclipse)- 5 in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Suffix (Herbaceous Perennial) - 7 von Jitish Kallat wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 59.348,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jitish Kallat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Eclipse)- 5 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
