Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Humiliation Tax-II by Jitish Kallat was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,837.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 9,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jitish Kallat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Eclipse)- 5 in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 2,780,000.00 (€ 274,673.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Humiliation Tax-II von Jitish Kallat kam im Dezember 2018 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.837,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 9.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jitish Kallat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Eclipse)- 5 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.780.000,00 (€ 274.673,21).
