A top price for Jim Shaw - as previously expected
The work Dr. Goldfoot And His Bikini Bombs by Jim Shaw was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 206,500.00 (€ 161,126.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dr. Goldfoot And His Bikini Bombs is the most expensive artwork by Jim Shaw that we have observed at auctions so far.
