Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Begonia and Camellia by Jiang Hongwei. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,127.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jiang Hongwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Breeze in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 152,370.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Begonia and Camellia von Jiang Hongwei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.127,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiang Hongwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring Breeze im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 152.370,31).
