Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Butterflies by Jiang Hongwei was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Beijing in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 180,000.00 – 280,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 200,600.00 (€ 29,009.13) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jiang Hongwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Breeze in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 152,370.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Butterflies von Jiang Hongwei wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Beijing versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CNY 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CNY 200.600,00 (€ 29.009,13) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiang Hongwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring Breeze im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 152.370,31).
