In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Birds by Jiang Hongwei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 35,465.54), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jiang Hongwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring Breeze in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 152,370.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birds von Jiang Hongwei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 35.465,54) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jiang Hongwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring Breeze im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 152.370,31).
