Upper estimate price exceeded by 89 %.
This artwork by Jiang Hongwei achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in August 2021. In the Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Bird by the Lotus Pond sold for HKD 113,400.00 (€ 12,349.07) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jiang Hongwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spring Breeze in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,480,000.00 (€ 152,370.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jiang Hongwei erzielte im August 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Bird by the Lotus Pond für HKD 113.400,00 (€ 12.349,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jiang Hongwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spring Breeze im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.480.000,00 (€ 152.370,31).
