The work Alternative Scene of the Garden at Night by Ji Wenyu was sold in the Contemporary Art Asia auction at Christies in New York in September 2020. The result of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,706.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ji Wenyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Happiness for the Children in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 211,500.00 (€ 18,488.97).

Die Arbeit Alternative Scene of the Garden at Night von Ji Wenyu wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.706,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ji Wenyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Happiness for the Children im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 211.500,00 (€ 18.488,97).
