This artwork by Ji Wenyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Good Landscape Should Have A God sold for USD 24,000.00 (€ 17,945.27) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ji Wenyu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Happiness for the Children sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of HKD 211,500.00 (€ 18,488.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ji Wenyu erzielte im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wurde die Arbeit Good Landscape Should Have A God für USD 24.000,00 (€ 17.945,27) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ji Wenyu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Happiness for the Children im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 211.500,00 (€ 18.488,97).
