Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bad News Have Wings by Ji Wenyu was sold in the No Regrets: The Collectors' Edition auction at Christies in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,629.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ji Wenyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Happiness for the Children in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 211,500.00 (€ 18,488.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bad News Have Wings von Ji Wenyu wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion No Regrets: The Collectors' Edition bei Christies versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.629,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ji Wenyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Happiness for the Children im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 211.500,00 (€ 18.488,97).
