Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ducks And Green Peas by Jessica Hayllar was sold in the Victorian Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,365.00 (€ 12,033.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jessica Hayllar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Coming Event in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 138,650.00 (€ 202,424.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ducks And Green Peas von Jessica Hayllar wurde im November 2004 in der Auktion Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.365,00 (€ 12.033,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jessica Hayllar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Coming Event im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 138.650,00 (€ 202.424,63).
