In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition, which included the work Untitled (Solarized Woman) by Jerry Uelsmann. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,903.81), 28% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jerry Uelsmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (floating trees) in April last year with an auction result of USD 17,640.00 (€ 16,741.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Photographs Now The Collector's Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Solarized Woman) von Jerry Uelsmann zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.903,81) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jerry Uelsmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (floating trees) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 16.741,01).
