Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Philosopher's Desk) by Jerry Uelsmann was sold in the Prints & Photographs auction at Bonhams in Skinner Boston in January 2024. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,144.00 (€ 5,369.69). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jerry Uelsmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (floating trees), which sold at auction in April last year for USD 17,640.00 (€ 16,741.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Philosopher's Desk) von Jerry Uelsmann wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Prints & Photographs bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.144,00 (€ 5.369,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jerry Uelsmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (floating trees) beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 17.640,00 (€ 16.741,01) versteigert wurde.
