A gentleman, in gold-bordered purple coat with gold-embroidered button loops and gold buttons, gold-bordered waistcoat and lace cravat, powdered curling wig; together with a young gentleman, in gold-bordered purple coat with gold-embroidered button loops and gold buttons, matching gold-bordered waistcoat and lace cravat, hair en queue (by Thomas Redmond, circa 1770)
the latter signed with initials 'T.R' (lower right)
ovals, 1 5/16 in. (34 mm.) and 1 7/16 in. (36 mm.) high, respectively, silver-gilt bracelet clasp frames (2)

The price achieved of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,780.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeremiah Meyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Student In The Robes Of A Westminster Scholar in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 16,100.00 (€ 20,525.22).
