The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,569.47), 36% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeff Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled # 113 (Bougainvillea), which sold at auction in March 2010 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,332.95).

Die Arbeit Untitled #85 (Tumbler) von Jeff Burton wurde im Januar 2007 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.569,47) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeff Burton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled # 113 (Bougainvillea) beobachtet, die im März 2010 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.332,95) versteigert wurde.
