This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist/Modern Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Jean Souverbie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Sommeil in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 105,850.00.
