In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Online, which included the work Country-Folk In A Wooded Landscape by Jean Pillement. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,269.43), 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Pillement achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge in May last year with an auction result of USD 132,300.00 (€ 123,287.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Country-Folk In A Wooded Landscape von Jean Pillement zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.269,43) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Pillement erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.300,00 (€ 123.287,67).
