Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 30,710.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Pillement have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge in May last year with an auction result of USD 132,300.00 (€ 123,287.67).
