Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of The Comtesse D'Andlau, Half-Length, In A White Dress With A Blue Shawl by Jean-Marc Nattier was sold in the Old Master Paintings Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2008. The price achieved of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 230,280.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Marc Nattier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 866,500.00 (€ 990,127.28).
