In the An Opulent Aesthetic: An Important Private Collection from an English Country House auction, the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length sold for GBP 75,600.00 (€ 86,231.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Marc Nattier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 866,500.00 (€ 990,127.28).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Marc Nattier erzielen.
