In November 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction True Connoisseurship: The Collection of Ezra & Cecile Zilkha, which included the work Portrait Of Madame Royer, Half-Length, With A Mask And Fan by Jean-Marc Nattier. Here, the upper estimate of USD 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 625,000.00 (€ 523,100.10). Other works by Jean-Marc Nattier have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 866,500.00 (€ 990,127.28) in July 2013 for the work An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice.
