In December 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Portrait Of Francis Greville, Baron Brooke, Later 1St Earl Of Warwick (1719–1773) by Jean-Marc Nattier. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 386,500.00 (€ 497,553.67), 55% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean-Marc Nattier; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice sold at auction in July 2013 with the realized price of GBP 866,500.00 (€ 990,127.28).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 386.500,00 (€ 497.553,67) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jean-Marc Nattier; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice im Juli 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 866.500,00 (€ 990.127,28).
