Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Femme au masque by Jean-Marc Nattier was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 11,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Marc Nattier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 866,500.00 (€ 990,127.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Femme au masque von Jean-Marc Nattier kam im Mai 2020 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 11.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Marc Nattier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 866.500,00 (€ 990.127,28).
