Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work Portrait Of Jean Victor De Rochechouart, Duc De Mortemart, In The Ceremonial Dress Of A Colonel Of The Order Of Saint Louis by Jean-Marc Nattier. The price achieved of USD 602,500.00 (€ 461,579.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Marc Nattier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice, which sold at auction in July 2013 for GBP 866,500.00 (€ 990,127.28).

Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Jean Victor De Rochechouart, Duc De Mortemart, In The Ceremonial Dress Of A Colonel Of The Order Of Saint Louis von Jean-Marc Nattier zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 602.500,00 (€ 461.579,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden.
