Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of a lady, thought to be Madame de Sêrent, seated, three-quarter-length, in a silver-embroidered silk dress, a fan in her right hand, a mask in her left by Jean-Marc Nattier was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 49,250.00 ( Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Marc Nattier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 866,500.00 (€ 990,127.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, thought to be Madame de Sêrent, seated, three-quarter-length, in a silver-embroidered silk dress, a fan in her right hand, a mask in her left von Jean-Marc Nattier im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
