Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady Leaning On A Balustrade by Jean-Marc Nattier was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in April 2007. The price achieved of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,139.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Marc Nattier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Allegory Of Justice Combatting Injustice in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 866,500.00 (€ 990,127.28).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.139,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
