Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Panorama (Valentine) by Jean-Marc Bustamante was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,316.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Marc Bustamante - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work State of grace, which sold at auction in May this year for EUR 40,320.00.

Die Arbeit Panorama (Valentine) von Jean-Marc Bustamante kam im September 2019 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.316,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Marc Bustamante mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit State of grace beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für EUR 40.320,00 versteigert wurde.
