Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash, which included the work Untitled (3 works) by Jean Dewasne. The price achieved of USD 896.00 (€ 826.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dewasne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Jeune Garde, 1957 in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 78,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (3 works) von Jean Dewasne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 896,00 (€ 826,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dewasne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Jeune Garde, 1957 im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 78.450,00.
