This artwork by Jean Pillement achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in September 2020. In the Maîtres Anciens, Peinture - Sculpture auction, the work Paysage de rivière avec un moulin et des bergers sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Pillement have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge in May last year with an auction result of USD 132,300.00 (€ 123,287.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Pillement erzielte im September 2020 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Maîtres Anciens, Peinture - Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Paysage de rivière avec un moulin et des bergers für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean Pillement auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A landscape with shepherds beneath an imaginary stone arch; A landscape with travelers beneath an old wooden bridge im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 132.300,00 (€ 123.287,67).
