Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jayson Musson could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Discoveries auction, the work Stone River changed hands for USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,247.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jayson Musson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nutmeg in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 75,744.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jayson Musson konnte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries wechselte die Arbeit Stone River für USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.247,18) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jayson Musson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nutmeg im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 75.744,46).
