In February 2015 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Vertical Slice; Beaver Bacon by Jason Rhoades. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 27,577.03), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jason Rhoades achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier in November this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 924,092.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vertical Slice; Beaver Bacon von Jason Rhoades zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 27.577,03) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jason Rhoades erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 924.092,41).
