In April 2017 Christies in London held the auction First Open, which included the work Mene (Idol 37) by Jason Rhoades. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,234.74), 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jason Rhoades achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier in November this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 924,092.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mene (Idol 37) von Jason Rhoades zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.234,74) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jason Rhoades erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Three-Wheel Waggon-Wheel Chandelier im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.008.000,00 (€ 924.092,41).
