Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Franciscan by Jason Martin. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 30,240.00 (€ 30,910.76). Admittedly, works by Jason Martin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Origin in July this year with an auction result of GBP 114,300.00 (€ 133,353.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Franciscan von Jason Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 30.240,00 (€ 30.910,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jason Martin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Origin im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 114.300,00 (€ 133.353,46).
