This artwork by Jaromír Funke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. In the The Quillan Collection of Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Photographs auction, the work Kompozice (Composition) sold for USD 193,000.00 (€ 123,972.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 90,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jaromír Funke; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Composition (From 'Abstraktnĺ Foto') sold at auction in April 2011 with the realized price of USD 350,500.00 (€ 236,488.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jaromír Funke erzielte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Quillan Collection of Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Photographs wurde die Arbeit Kompozice (Composition) für USD 193.000,00 (€ 123.972,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 90.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jaromír Funke; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Composition (From 'Abstraktnĺ Foto') im April 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 350.500,00 (€ 236.488,77).
