The result of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,300.33) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jaromír Funke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition (From 'Abstraktnĺ Foto') in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 350,500.00 (€ 236,488.77).

Die Arbeit Doorway, Prague, c. 1920 von Jaromír Funke kam im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.300,33) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jaromír Funke erzielen.
