Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Standing Female Figures: Two Works by Janet Scudder was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in September 2007. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 3,955.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Janet Scudder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Young Diana in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 94,500.00 (€ 77,269.01).

Die Arbeit Standing Female Figures: Two Works von Janet Scudder wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 3.955,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Janet Scudder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Young Diana im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 77.269,01).
