This artwork by Janet Scudder achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2001. In the American Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work Boy with Snail sold for USD 22,325.00 (€ 24,824.86) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Janet Scudder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Young Diana, which sold at auction in December 2020 for USD 94,500.00 (€ 77,269.01).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Janet Scudder erzielte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Boy with Snail für USD 22.325,00 (€ 24.824,86) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Janet Scudder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Young Diana beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für USD 94.500,00 (€ 77.269,01) versteigert wurde.
