Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Abbey at Rijnsburg, north-west of Leiden by Jan van de Velde II was sold in the Master Drawings from the Oppé Collection auction at Christies in London in December 2006. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,138.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan van de Velde II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Village On A Broad River With Two Horseman At A Gateway To The Left; And An Abbey By A River With A Group of Monks On A Track in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 355,200.00 (€ 515,214.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Abbey at Rijnsburg, north-west of Leiden von Jan van de Velde II wurde im Dezember 2006 in der Auktion Master Drawings from the Oppé Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.138,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan van de Velde II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Village On A Broad River With Two Horseman At A Gateway To The Left; And An Abbey By A River With A Group of Monks On A Track im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 355.200,00 (€ 515.214,25).
