Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Czech Dancer With Parasol (Tanečnice Se Slunečníkem) by Jan Matulka was sold in the Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection auction at Sothebys in London in November 2014. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,828.87). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Matulka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work New York Harbor & Paris: A Double Sided Work in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 164,840.56).
