Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bohemian Village (Slovak Village Turi Pôle) by Jan Matulka was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,286.85). Admittedly, works by Jan Matulka have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New York Harbor & Paris: A Double Sided Work in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 201,600.00 (€ 164,840.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bohemian Village (Slovak Village Turi Pôle) von Jan Matulka kam im November 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.286,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Matulka auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New York Harbor & Paris: A Double Sided Work im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 201.600,00 (€ 164.840,56).
