Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life Of A Hare, Game And Songbirds Before A Still Life Of Fruit In A Basket, All Upon A Ledge Draped With A Green And White Cloth, With Glassware by Jan Fyt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 71,417.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Fyt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Studies of the head of a wild boar, which sold at auction in December 2018 for GBP 236,750.00 (€ 263,760.50).

Die Arbeit Still Life Of A Hare, Game And Songbirds Before A Still Life Of Fruit In A Basket, All Upon A Ledge Draped With A Green And White Cloth, With Glassware von Jan Fyt kam im Juli 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 71.417,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan Fyt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Studies of the head of a wild boar beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für GBP 236.750,00 (€ 263.760,50) versteigert wurde.
