Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work Figures and cattle on a forest path by Jan Evert Morel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Evert Morel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grapes, pomegranates, peaches, cherries, and a melon, with carnations, and other flowers on a stone ledge in a landscape in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 31,070.00 (€ 25,511.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures and cattle on a forest path von Jan Evert Morel zur Versteigerung kam. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grapes, pomegranates, peaches, cherries, and a melon, with carnations, and other flowers on a stone ledge in a landscape im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.070,00 (€ 25.511,13).
