Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,772.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jan Evert Morel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grapes, pomegranates, peaches, cherries, and a melon, with carnations, and other flowers on a stone ledge in a landscape in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 31,070.00 (€ 25,511.13).

Die Arbeit Skaters On A Dutch Waterway At Dusk von Jan Evert Morel kam im Januar 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.772,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
