Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction European Noble and Private Collections incl. Fine Paintings, which included the work Study of a Dutch Partridge dog by Jan Dasveldt. The price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Dasveldt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hounds fighting over a hare in an extensive landscape, which sold at auction in February 2004 for EUR 3,107.00.
